On this website, we have gathered a bunch of student travel testimonials from previous years.

Bogotá – 2019- Pamela

I am a second-year bachelor student currently studying Physical Geography and ecosystem science at the faculty of science, Lund university. My journey in physical geography and ecosystem science started before my entrance to Lund university, such as science summer camps, where I get to experiment and learn from researchers all over the world, this taught me about the environment from different perspectives and agendas.

Budapest - Emy Tiderman - 2014

Brazil - Aria Mirzai -2020

The thirty-five hour flight had taken its toll on me, but now I had almost arrived at my final destination; the city of Ribeirão Preto in southeast Brazil. I really knew almost nothing about where I was going, apart from sneak-peaking at my workplace through Google street view. You see, the amount of information in english about less famous cities here is quite limited.

Marina - Gothenburg

Marina Victoria Zaremba Tsyupka
MSc in Chemistry and Chemical Technologies
Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (Spain)

I have always wished having a period studying or working abroad. I got to know IAESTE before beginning my BSc in Biotechnology in University of Salamanca (Spain) and since then I knew that I definitely must have this experience! My internship was in the Industrial Materials Recycling group (Nuclear Chemistry Dep. of Chalmers University of Technology located in Göteborg, Sweden) and I cannot be more happy and grateful with all the people that contributed to my learning here! About exchange student life in Göteborg, I have to say that it was amazing and here you will find a lot of different and fun stuff to do and meet people! I come from a much warmer place – Canary Islands – but this temporary switch to the swedish lifestyle (fika, saunas, breathstoping landscapes, …) and working culture (trust in the worker organisational skills, enhancing productivity by improving life-work balance, team feeling, …) made me miss home a bit less.
